- Abstract
In this work, structural and optical properties of TiO2 metal oxide thin films were examined in two sections. In the first section of the work, undoped and Fe doped TiO2 thin films were produced on a p-type silicon substrate using the sol-gel method. In the second part, the optical and structural properties of the growth thin films were investigated. Structural properties of the films were investigated using X-ray diffractometry (XRD) and it was seen that Fe dopant alters the structure of the films. In the investigation of the optical properties, refractive index (n) and absorption coefficient (k) were assessed; it was illustrated that such optic properties closely depend on the Fe doping rate. Real (ε1) with imaginary (ε2) parts and a.c. electrical conductivity (σ) of dielectric constant were determined which was found to be a function of electrical permittivity and showed increasing trend with increasing voltage.
