- Abstract
The article "Power and Counterpower in the Digital Transformation" discusses the effects of the digital transformation on the working world and the power relations in this process. It is pointed out that companies deliberately use viral marketing to present their technologies as the only alternative. The digital transformation offers both opportunities and dangers, such as the devaluation of work through the use of artificial intelligence and the surveillance of employees. The article emphasizes the need to address the question of power and to build counterpower in order to shape the digital transformation. Various forms of counterpower are discussed, such as the use of digital data and tools by employees and the establishment of digital works councils. It is emphasized that a better digital future is possible, but must be actively developed and enforced.
