Becoming a Techno-Teacher: Deal Me In.
- Authors
Gordon, Jaclyn Prizant; Still, Kristine Lynn
- Abstract
The article examines the emergence of technology integration and its impact on approaches of effective literacy practice. The growth of technology frequently challenges the powers of comprehension. In a wider perspective, education has been challenged by the growth of technology. Although most teachers have used a constructivist perspective in their classroom, they frequently fail to relate this paradigm to the potential of technology for construction of knowledge. According to T. Jonassen, one of the three functions of technology that combine under the constructivist anchor to facilitate literacy goals is the use of technology as a tool for accessing information.
