- Abstract
In this study, the effect of economic and institutional indicators on logistics performance was examined for the members of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) (Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine and Greece). For this purpose, effects of GDP, openness, net foreign direct investment inflows, voice and accountability, government effectiveness, regulatory quality, rule of law, control of corruption, political stability and absence of violence/terrorism on logistics performance were investigated for the years of 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 using random effects model. According to the empirical results, in BSEC countries, while the variables of economic size, openness, government effectiveness, regulatory quality, rule of law, control of corruption have a positive effect on logistics performance, net foreign direct investment inflows have negative effect, voice and accountability, political stability and absence of violence/terrorism variables have no effect on the logistic performance level.
