- Abstract
The article presents a case study of 9-year-old boy which was diagnosed with pelvic fracture urethral distraction defect (PFUDD), after sufferingn from a pelvic fracture and posterior urethral disruption caused by a traffic accident. The patient then underwent a suprapubic cystostomy for acute phase management and perineal urethroplasty for his fracture. The article also discusses the treatments and postoperative care for children such as an anastomotic urethroplasty.
