- Abstract
The article explores the clinical and laboratory considerations for immediate denture prostheses for rehabilitation of the hopeless dentition. Treatment choices for rehabilitating hopeless dentition include a removable complete denture and a fixed or removable complete denture supported and/or retained dental implants. A common clinical scenario linked to immediate denture treatment involves a patient with malpositioned teeth, missing tooth structure and multiple missing teeth. Among the factors that should be considered when it comes to immediate denture treatment are impression procedures, maxillomandibular articulation, dentofacial analysis and postdelivery denture maintenance.
