- Abstract
The article gives a brief description of researches done in the field of biochemistry. It describes how neurodegenerative disease in animals is treated using RNA interference. This has raised the hope of effective therapies that can be developed for a group of devastating and currently untreatable genetic disorders. Also, it discusses about the phage-based approaches developed for cocaine and other drug addictions. Also, researchers have fabricated electronic devices consisting of an organic semiconductor that incorporate photosynthetic complexes, the biological equivalents of solar energy converters, from spinach and bacteria.
