The article focuses on history of the no-impeachment rule as well as the codification of the rule in Rule 606(b) of U.S. Federal Rules of Evidence. Topics discussed include challenges of court's response to racial discrimination by a juror, and its impact on American jury trial system; Pena-Rodriguez v. Colorado court case addressing racial bias exception to the no-impeachment rule; and testifying to prove misconduct that occurred during jury deliberations.
