- Abstract
The article presents a study on the use of two-ingredient cartridge as a delivery system for carbon monoxide fumigation of porcupine dens. The researchers fumigated a total of 190 dens in different soil conditions, which encompass different moisture content and porosity. They also assessed the efficiency of the carbon monoxide fumigation of porcupine dens by observing the holes for three consecutive nights after the treatment. They found several problems with the delivery technique including the inefficient burning of the fuse, the potential health hazards to operators and the leakage of gas during the plugging process.
