- Abstract
The article analyzes the representation of the personality of the principal characters in the novel "Gone With the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell. It highlights the personal conflicts involving Scarlett O'Hara, Rhett Butler and Ashley Wilkes. The connections between Scarlett and Belle Watling are discussed, as well as Scarlett's complex and changing attitudes about sex and her romantic relationship with Ashley.
