Discovering Dracula's Coffins in the Digital Archive.
- Authors
FRIDAY, LINDA
- Abstract
The author discusses a postgraduate study she conducted on the relationship between 19th-century journalistic reportage and the perceptions of contemporary readers of Victorian Gothic novels. She describes her use of a form of literary mapping that allowed her to construct a literary atlas through which to interpret texts including Bram Stoker's "Dracula." She also mentions the need for doctoral researchers to adopt a rigorous epistemological approach.
