- Abstract
The article investigates headache treatment patterns among general practitioners (GPs), who suffered from migraine themselves (GP-M), and GPs having a close family member with migraine (GP-CFM). Triptans and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs were cited as the frequently used treatments. Only 6.9 percent of the GP-M group utilized and 17.2 percent of the GP-CFM group prescribed a prophylactic treatment, which was deemed satisfactory by 46.2 percent and 56.1 percent, respectively.
