- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the academic performance of first-generation college students with disabilities in the U.S. The study examined the evidence that disability status and first-generation status place a student at risk of encountering difficulties completing postsecondary school. It also investigated other factors affecting the academic performance of students, including self-efficacy, financial stress and social support.
