- Abstract
The article discusses several developments involving cybersecurity litigation and the legal aspects of computer hacking as of 2016. The challenges that American courts face with regards to thefts involving identity, personal information, and proprietary business data are examined, along with lawsuits involving digital data breaches. Shareholder derivative suits and securities fraud class action claims are examined, as well as U.S. common law claims and consumer class action litigation.
