- Abstract
The article discusses the occurrence of medication errors contributing to obstetric cardiac arrest. It highlights that obstetric patients are less likely to experience cardiac arrest compared to non-obstetric surgery patients. The leading cause of cardiac arrest in obstetric patients is anesthesia-related factors, such as high neuraxial block and hypotension. Medication errors were also identified as a cause of cardiac arrest, but specific details about these errors were not provided. The article suggests that providing more information about these errors and their outcomes could enhance safety in obstetric anesthesia.
