- Abstract
The antimicrobial effect of Green tea and Morus alba L. leaves extraction in different concentrations were researched in this paper. We use D-value method to fast determine the efficacy. The results showed that both the extract of Green tea and Morus alba L. leaves can effectively inhibit the growth of bacteria thus kill large amounts of the bacteria. The MIC of extraction from Green tea was 0.034% against Staphylococcus aureus, which was 0.42% against Escherichia coli. As to Morus alba L. leaves, the data was 0.86% against Staphylococcus aureus and 1.54% against Escherichia coli. Apparently, the effect of Green tea extract was better.
