- Title
The Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Polymers (CNR) uses the Linkam THMS600 temperature stage for biodegradable and biocompatible polymer research.
- Abstract
The article reports that scientists from the Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Polymers (CNR) in Italy used the HMS600 temperature stage from Linkam Scientific Instruments to investigate the melting kinetics of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB). It states that when the polymer was heated at 185° Celsius, spherulites were developed. It adds that chain degradation was related to the unmelted structures.
