- Abstract
The article explores Italy's Regia Aeronautica bomber aircraft and its struggle to undertake an air offensive in 1940. The Regia Aeronautica reportedly had a strong fleet of multi-engined bombers and was deemed as the service's most glamourous branch. The factors that contributed to its operational failure which include the failure to implement a meaningful structure on strategic options and failure to use available numbers. Also discussed are fascist Italy's relationship with other countries.
