- Abstract
The author discusses cognitive therapy (CT) in Egypt as of 1995. He notes that interest of Egyptians in such a form of treatment has only started recently despite several developments made by ancient and modern Egyptian civilization. He cites the eagerness of mental health professionals in the country to learn methods for application of the techniques of CT to their diverse patients. Also mentioned are the appealing aspects about the therapy, one of which is that it is a short-term effective approach.
