- Abstract
Investigation developed in an pre- mountainous agro-ecosystem in the Fomento municipality in Sancti Spíritus Province, in an April - December period of 2011, to characterize the beneficent insects itself, evaluated the influence of the mixed farming itself on S. frugiperda . An experimental design of blocks was organized at random, where treatments were: (corn pumpkin, corn sesame, corn bean, corn sunflower). The initial attack to corn took place between the third and fifth day after the germination (DDG). The intensity of affectation was enough her maximum valuer to the 31 DDG, in the monoculture observed the bigger affectation of manner throughout the cycle itself, them mixed farming corn pumpkin and corn bean worked out the ones of smaller percentages of infestation. The predators of orders Coleoptera, Hemiptera, Neuroptera, Himenoptera and the Dermaptera were them more representatives, standing out the species Zelus, Polistes and earwigs (Doru sp). The level of parasitism it was to the 29,0 % in the mixed farmings. The mixed farming with bigger relative representativeness as much of predators as of parasitoids constituted the corn pumpkin. Of Dipterons Archytas piliventris (Lin) and Lespesia archyppivora (Riley) constituted the main parasitoids.
