- Abstract
The flexibilization and individualization of labor relations have multiplied the modalities of labor linkage without the protections and distinctive features of the wage relationship, which has led to the weakening of unions and the promotion of subjectivities that hinder the composition of groups of workers. However, organizing processes persist, and how they are carried out can reveal workers' agency and collective existence. To this end, I present a psychosocial ethnography of labor collectives that articulates the study of everyday life, organizing as practices, and the centrality of discourse in the contemporary labor dispute. I illustrate this proposal with the case of independent municipal workers in Chile, whose organization revealed the widespread use of false self-employment in the Public Administration.
