Title
Ecology: Waning woods.
Abstract
The article discusses why trees in western North America are dying at a faster rate than previously without a corresponding increase in the number of seedling trees. Researchers from the U.S. Geological Survey Western Ecological Research Center in Three Rivers, California hypothesize that the increased mortality correlates with climate change in the region.
