- Abstract
The article reports on the findings of the study which develops selective and efficient method of isolating cancer cells using microchip technology. They researchers designed a microfluidic device that separate the cells as well as detects their morphology, viability. The instrument permits routine monitoring of blood for medical examination, early detection and treatment. However, the method would provide false-positive results if only few cells are isolated. It suggests to test the increased expression of malignancy-associated proteins to prevent metastasis.
