- Abstract
The article reports that descendants of the aborigines, represented by the Tasmanian Aboriginal Center, submitted a case for the return of the remains of 17 Tasmanian to a four-member independent panel of experts asked by the museum to analyze the ethical and scientific sides of the argument. The panel suggested repatriation in which the museum's trustees agreed. The museum made the decision after considering how the descendants of the Tasmanian aborigines view their link with the remains.
