- Abstract
The coal gangue was processed by mechanical fine grinding, calcination and chemical activator. The strength of cement-mortar was studied by means of mechanical property test. The composition and structure changes of coal gangue were analyzed by DSC and XRD. The orthogonal test method was used to analyze the data, and the results show that the composite activation treatment of coal gangue has good volcanic ash activity, and the calcining temperature is the main factor affecting the volcanic ash activity. The contribution of activated gangue to the flexural strength of cement is greater than that of compressive strength. The optimum calcining temperature is 625 °C. The optimum ball grinding fineness is 45 pm sieve residue around 5. 12% and 80 pm sieve residue about 14. 74%. The optimal amount of activator is about 2. 0% of the gangue quantity. Composite activation is beneficial to reduce energy consumption and improve production efficiency.
