- Abstract
The study was carried out to investigate the effects of potassium sulfate and magnesium sulfate obtained from commercially on the yield and yield parameters of cucumber in greenhouse conditions. In the study, A21 cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) cultivar was used and different doses (0, 0,5 L da-1, 1 L da-1 and 2 L da-1) of K2S04 and MgSO4 were applied to plant root zone 30 mL for each plant. Applications were repeated three times at fifteen days interval a week after planting the seedlings. Result of study showed 37% increase in yield and highest amount of TSS with MgSO4 application. While the highest average fruit weight, fruit length, fruit diameter and fruit dry matter were obteined from 0,5 L da-1 MgSO4 application, the highest Vitamin C had occurred in the 1 L da-1 K2SO4 application. It was determined that the plant development was better with used an optimum levels of potassium and magnesium in cucumber cultivation and yield was increased in parallel at the end of study.
