- Abstract
The stainless steel A. V. fistula needles for hemodialysis were used as the base material, and then it was immersed in silicification solution. The appearances, puncture force, biological properties of the sample were tested. The results showed that both the domestic and imported steel needles without silicification could not be used clinically. When the silicide solution was only prepared with reactive silicone oil and silicone oil diluent, the puncture force of the silicified steel needles decreased significandy, and with the increase of the reactive silicone oil, the puncture force decreased but the range of decrease gradually narrowed. Adding appropriate amount of dimethyl silicone oil (viscosity of 12 500 mm2/s) into the silicide, the puncture force of the steel needle continued to decrease; adding the appropriate amount of dimethyl silicone oil (viscosity of 1 000 mm 2/s) into the silicide, the puncture force of the steel needle slighdy decreased, but it was beneficial to the dispersion of the silicification liquid. When the excessive amount of reactive silicone oil and 12 500 mm2 dimethyl silicone oil was added in the silicide, the silicide may accumulate on the surface of the steel needles. Comprehensively, the reactive silicone oil, 12 500 mm2/s dimethyl silicone oil, 1 000 mm2/s dimethyl silicone oil and silicone oil diluent are preferably compounded, and the mass ratio is 4: 4: 2: 100 preferably. The silicide solution is easy to disperse, and the average puncture force of the steel needle treated by silicide is 0. 88 N, whose biological properties meet the standard requirements, suitable for clinical use and reduce the pain of patients significantly. When the silicification solution is used for the silicification of the puncture needle (outer diameter of 1. 2 mm), the puncture force of the stainless steel puncture needle is significantly reduced, and the average puncture force is greatly reduced from 1. 8 N (before silicidation) to 0. 88N (after silicidation). It is expected to be widely used in the siliconization of puncture needles with all specifications.
