THE SUSCEPTIBILITY OF THE QUICK TEST TO INSTRUCTIONAL SETS.

- Abstract
This article assesses whether different instructions would influence the scores of subjects on standard intelligence tests. Since subjects have been shown to be influenced strongly by general social considerations when they answer tests, psychological instruments that are introduced differently should, if they inform the subjects that the instruments measure differentially socially desirable traits, motivate the subjects to perform differently as well. In this study, Forms 1, 2 and 3 of the Ammons Quick Test, which has been degree of construct validity among coloured subjects in South Africa, was given to a sample of coloured high school pupils under three sets of instructions.
