- Abstract
The article reports that the discriminative power of the Edwards Personal Preference Schedule (EPPS) when used with neuropsychiatric groups and to obtain personality descriptions of these groups. Some work has been done using the EPPS with a psychiatric patient population indicating that such contingency factors as age, sex, and education should be controlled in order to use the EPPS with optimum utility. A content classification revealed that items related to sex, religion, and eliminative processes were most offensive. Many of the items were not on standard MMPI scales.
