- Abstract
Component group of the humid mountains of northeastern Brazil, the Ibiapaba has a geological-geomorphological history ancient and significant, which is consistent with important events in the natural history of the planet. Thus, the geomorphological portion of its geodiversity, emphasized here, is constituted as part of the natural heritage of the Northeast of Brazil and it should be goal of geoconservation strategies to consider regional differences, notably the geotourism. The purpose of this article is to present the geodiversity of Ibiapaba region, notably its geomorphological aspects, which were treated in relation to the genesis and shaping of features, with an emphasis on three (3) natural sites or geosites, the geomorphological, the called geomorphosites.
