- Abstract
To understand the spatial distribution of soil water characteristics along Mopan mountain, the method of multi-electrode resistivity meter (ERT) was used on one 400 m length typical grass slope at early May of 2015 in Yunnan. The longitudinal transect lines were set up to detect the soil electrical resistivity and volumetric water content by more points on the slope simultaneously and continuously. Results showed that there was a good statistical correlation between soil electrical resistivity and volumetric water content on Mopan (y = 76.96e-0.0045x, R2 = 0.781), this suggested that it is feasible to determine the spatial variation of water content through measuring spatial distribution of soil electrical resistivity.
