- Authors
Cuchet, Guillaume
- Abstract
The article focuses on the work of historian Claude Langlois about the French nun Thérèse de Lisieux. According to the article, Langlois viewed De Lisieux as an author and not just a religious figure. The author argues that Langlois's work occupies a place that is halfway between history, literary history and exegesis (or interpretation of a religious text). The author argues that Langlois's work on Thérèse de Lisieux is experimental and seeks to push the boundaries of what an historian can do in the exploration of religious subjectivity.
