- Title
Critical Perspectives on Leadership: The Language of Corporate Power, by Mark Learmonth and Kevin Morrell.
- Authors
Cascio, Wayne F.
- Abstract
The authors want this book to serve as a kind of heresy against the language of leadership and how we think about authority and power at work. The book is concise, and it is divided into four parts: against "leadership", "leadership" as rhetoric, the seductions of "leadership", and resistance. The authors argue that the language of leadership seems to be changing the wider cultural climate, making it much friendlier for the interests of elites and increasingly hostile for people doing temporary or part-time work.
