UP AND RUNNING: A Report on the Physical and Health Education programs in the Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board.
- Abstract
The article presents the results of the study regarding the physical and health education programs in all schools in the country by the Ottawa-Carleton Catholic School Board in Ottawa, Ontario. The study signifies their commitment to promote excellence in programming for its students. They aim to determine the awareness, use and effectiveness of policy and resource support documents from the Ministry of Education, Board and external sources and determine attitudes toward physical and health education. The results show that majority of the educational programs and practices are effective in promoting quality education. Moreover, it is also proven that collaboration among families, schools and the community provide enriched opportunities in physical and health education programs.
