The disadvantages of certain variable factors influencing the reliability of traditional patch test techniques have been discussed. Further experience of the use of a glycogelatin vehichle for patch testing is reported. Difficulties were encountered in incorporating some allergens in the glycogelatin vehichle but in general the technique proved satisfactory.
