- Abstract
This article presents information on a study which focuses on the treatment of lymphogranulomatosis maligna with actinomycin-C. The study presents the report of a case of Hodgkin's disease, with non-specific eruption, intense and intractable itching and large gland-masses, which were refractory to a range of other treatments but responded to a course of the new antibiotic and cytostatic agent, Actinomycin-C. It is thought possible that the simultaneous administration of penicillin and streptomycin may have contributed to the result, and the authors suggest that the possible synergism of antibiotics and cytostatics is worthy of further investigation.
