Karrierekolumne: Demographie.

- Abstract
This career column is about the importance of demographics when choosing an employer. The demographics of a place can provide insight into whether one would feel comfortable there. Demographics also play a role in employers. A very international group can be a warning sign, while an extremely local group can be seen as provincial. It is also important to consider how long employees stay with an employer. High turnover can indicate an unpleasant work environment. There are different cases in which employees stay with an employer for a long time, including loyalty, dead-end jobs, and the "golden cage". However, neither internationality nor length of company tenure alone are criteria for judgment. It is advisable to check profiles on professional social media platforms such as Linkedin to obtain further information.
