- Abstract
The article cites a study showing the impact of radial turbulent diffusion in a Tropical Cyclone (TC) through computation of the small-scale scale turbulence by numerical weather prediction model. The use of horizontal grid in a TC three-dimensional turbulent eddies, reduces the maximum sustained wind. Numerical experiments have been carried out with the Advanced Research Weather research and forecasting model. The study is published in the "Monthly Weather Review," by G. H. Bryan and R. Rotunno.
