PRESENÇA DE CÉLULAS LE EM SANGUE PERIFÉRICO DE CÃO COM SUSPEITA DE LÚPUS ERITEMATOSO SISTÊMICO.

- Abstract
O Lúpus Eritematoso Sistêmico (LES) é uma afecção imunomediada considerada rara em que o sistema imunológico ataca próprias células do organismo. Sua etiologia, apesar de desconhecida, apresenta predisposições multifatoriais tais como causas genéticas, medicamentosas e ambientais. Foi observado que algumas raças têm predisposição a desenvolver a doença, tais como Pastor Alemão, Poodle, Beagle e Collies, acometendo em geral cães de meia idade. Além disso, a exposição à radiação ultravioleta é considerada um fator agravante do quadro. Sua fisiopatogenia esta intimamente relacionada a altos títulos de autoanticorpos circulantes e deposição de imunocomplexos em diferentes tecidos. Dentre os sintomas mais comuns podemos destacar lesões eritematosas em região de focinho, poliartrite, emagrecimento progressivo e febre. O diagnóstico do LES é um desafio, tendo em vista a diversidade de diagnósticos diferenciais a serem considerados por se tratar de uma afecção sistêmica crônica. Para isso, associa-se sinais clínicos à achados laboratoriais e outros exames de maior sensibilidade como teste de anticorpo antinúcleo (ANA) e pesquisa de células LE. Este estudo tem como objetivo demonstrar o aspecto morfocitológico das células LE em um paciente canino da raça Border Collie, macho, de 09 anos de idade. A pesquisa de células LE se trata de um teste pouco sensível, o que leva a sua baixa utilização na rotina clínica. O teste é realizado in vitro, com aproximadamente 10mL de sangue periférico em tubo sem aditivo. É necessário aguardar a completa formação do coágulo para que ele possa ser macerado de forma a liberar os núcleos de células sensibilizadas para que sejam fagocitadas por leucócitos íntegros, formando as inclusões violetas amorfas conhecidas como rosetas que caracterizam a célula LE (setas). Uma vez diagnosticada e instaurado o tratamento, o prognóstico é considerado reservado e a remissão do quadro é possível, muitas vezes sendo necessário a terapia imunosupressora por toda vida.
