The article presents an abstract of the paper "Government Benefits Update 2001," published in the January 2001 issue of the publication "Watson Wyatt Special Memorandum." The maximum monthly old age security pension amount paid to Canadians totaled $431.36 between January and March of 2001. For single persons, the maximum monthly benefit during this period was $512.65, with survivor allowances maximized at $844.88.
