- Abstract
In the case of "NALC Health Benefit Plan v. Vicki Lunsford," a district court in Michigan ruled that a participant in a federal health benefit plan is compelled to reimburse the plan from automobile insurance recovery fro medical benefits paid. The lawsuit arose from defendant Lunsford's attempt to obtain replacement insurance benefits from State Farm Insurance in the event that she was obligated to reimburse NALC Health Benefit Plan for the insurance benefits it had paid to her.
