- Title
Voice Technology for 401(k) Plans.
- Authors
Panepinto, Robert
- Abstract
This article focuses on the utilization of voice technology for 401(k) plans. It is noted that voice technology systems for 401(k) plans allow streamlined efficient administration while improving services to employees. Interactive voice response systems are particularly advantageous for plan sponsors with multiple locations that may not have a qualified benefits representative at each location. It is pointed out that a thorough cost/benefit analysis should be implemented, including the determination of the plan sponsor's requirements. In most cases, voice technology has proven to be a powerful and cost-efficient human resource tool that benefits the plan sponsor and employees alike.
