- Abstract
This paper, written by PhD Professor Érico José Souza de Oliveira, from Theatre School and Postgraduate Program in Performance Arts of Federal University of Bahia, and PhD Professor Vinícius da Silva Lírio, from Performance Arts School of State University of Mato Grosso do Sul, comes from a research and a reflection about a process of artistic research from a theoretical and practical approach in the context of G-PEC (Group for Research on Contemporary Performance Arts). From experimenting with a play created from the text This property is condemned, written by the American author Tennessee Williams, it is discussed important questions for the universe of contemporary theater in Brazil, specifically in Salvador - Bahia. Authors as Lehmann, Picon-Vallin, Pareyson, Ryngaert, among others, which demonstrate the trends of contemporary theater, to support discussions. So, this paper uses concepts such as hybrid theatricalities and intangible elements, which were guiding a process of scenic research for the play Condemned Property, by Companhia de Teatro da Universidade Federal da Bahia.
