Healthy adults without chronic conditions and preserved functioning need to build and continue healthy habits to maintain their health, obtain screening and early intervention for chronic conditions, and live in health-supporting environments that make healthy behaviors an easy option ([12]). Lengthening health span and compressing periods of chronic ill health to the end of the lifespan (compression of morbidity) requires effective public health-led programs delivered at the community, city, county, state, and national levels.
