- Abstract
The multivariate analysis, including the primary and secondary nature of SRL treatment, revealed that only the adenoma height before SRL treatment was associated with a reduction in adenoma height during SRL treatment. Among 167 patients diagnosed with GH/IGF-1 hypersecretion between 1995 and 2015 screened for inclusion, 107 were excluded and 60 had pituitary surgery as part of acromegaly management, consisting of 34 initial surgeries with 26 secondary surgeries required because of uncontrolled hormone levels following the initial medical treatment. The multivariate analysis, which included both primary and secondary SRL treatments, identified the IGF-1 concentration before administration of SRLs to be associated with the reduction in IGF-1 levels during SRL treatments (coeff: 0.9 ± 0.07; I p i < .001).
