- Abstract
The article focuses on labor-affiliated funds that functions as an important providers of capital for the U.S. and global economies. It states that the fundamental purpose of the labor-affiliated funds is to offer decent benefits for the workers who are involved in the labor. The authors remark that the approach to the investment of these funds yielded negative results for workers' benefits, income inequality and financial distortions of the overall economy. They suggests on a long-term investment strategy for the funds that would result in capital directed to the generation of sustainable economic growth, wage increase, job creation and a secured workers' benefits.
