- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 60-year-old man who was admitted to the hospital with complaints of continuous right focal neck pain, amaurosis fugax and tenderness to palpation over the right carotid bifurcation. His physical examination revealed a right carotid bruit without evidence of infection in his mouth. It was found that carotid inflammation is responsible to cause thrombus formation.
