Czy "Portret młodzieńca" w zbiorach wawelskich jest obrazem Jana Lievensa?
- Authors

- Abstract
This article examines whether or not the painting "Portrait of a Young Man" in the collection of the Wawel Royal Castle (Kraków, Poland) is the work of Dutch artist Jan Lievens (1607-1674). The history of the work is traced from 1910, when it was bought at auction in Amsterdam, Holland, by Jerzy Mycielski, a Kraków art historian/professor. The author notes its stylistic similarity to works of Raphael (Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino), Govert Flinck, Anthony van Dyck, and especially Jürgen Ovens; however, technological analyses are required to help determine who really painted it.
