- Abstract
The article focuses on a study reported by physician Mark Gillies which found that Ozurdex dexamethasone intravitreal implant showed better anatomic outcomes but similar visual acuity results when compared with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) drug Avastin for the treatment of patients with persistent diabetic macular edema, and mentions cataract surgery as the main adverse event.
