- Abstract
The article presents contradictory opinions on whether a single-depth nomogram or an adjustable-depth nomogram is preferable when performing a limbal relaxing incision (LRI). According to ophthalmologist Uday Devgan, LRI is effective but variable in its effect. He cites a study which found that a simple LRI nomogram at a fixed depth can work well. Ophthalmologist William J. Lahners emphasizes the need for surgeons to determine their level of comfort in determining the depth. He thinks that a simple LRI nomogram can lead to an elegant correction.
